Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is risen from the dead! Happy Easter!
Today we celebrate the glorious fruit of God’s saving work—His desire to restore us to the Father. It is a day to rejoice in all that God has done and continues to do in our lives.
Before the Resurrection, however, Jesus endured suffering and a humiliating death on the Cross. By His example, we too are called to take up our crosses and follow Him. When we do, we begin to experience “little resurrections” in our own lives—moments of grace that ultimately prepare us for the fullness of life with God. This is the Paschal Mystery: Christ’s suffering, death, and Resurrection—the very heart of the Christian life and the path by which we are drawn into communion with the Blessed Trinity and the Communion of Saints.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the preparation and celebration of our Holy Week liturgies. Countless unseen hours of work made the Triduum and Easter Sunday a beautiful and prayerful experience for our parish.
A special congratulations to our Elect, now called Neophytes, who have now been baptized into Christ and His Catholic Church. We also rejoice with our Candidates, who were previously baptized and have now been formally received into full communion with the Church. A big thank you to the the team who lead our OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) this year.
May you and your family have a blessed Easter Season!
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
